Study Skills Syllabus
Study Skills is a course that supports students in organization, prioritizing, time management, homework, schedules, note-taking, tests, and many more skills necessary for functioning in today’s 21st Century classrooms. Students learn in many different and unique ways and this course will help students to acquire individualized techniques for functioning in a rigorous school environment.
Students are expected to bring the following materials each day:
Folders or binders for each class
Notes from each class
Classes are small, and most behaviors can be addressed with a reminder or redirection and behavior support (as directed by IEP). More repetitious, disruptive, or serious behaviors will result in: private conferences with student, phone call/e-mail to parent, lunch detention with teacher, and/or office referral.
